Canna Group Inc. Launches Cannabis-Focused PE Fund

Cannabis industry consultants, Canna Group Inc., announced the launch of Sugar Leaf Capital Fund I LLC, a private equity fund formed with the focus of investing in emerging growth companies working within the cannabis sector.

 

Sugar Leaf, which will have offices in California and Chicago, Illinois, will invest in early-stage, cannabis-related businesses that are generally ancillary to the production or processing of the cannabis plant, including businesses active in chemistry, science and genetics, business services, software, grow systems, payments and banking, and agriculture and operations.

Canna Group, Inc.’s team including, Grant Rollin-partner, Aaron Silverman– partner, and Chris Macaluso – industry advisor, will be involved in the management of Sugar Leaf, in addition to Michael Gruber– partner, Amy Boyet – principal, Michael Guerra – principal, Achint Prabhat  – principal, and Glen Anderson – industry advisor. 

 

Sugar Leaf will function as a committed capital fund and will be available to accredited investors and qualified individuals, for whom it aims to achieve long-term appreciation on return on investment.
