Biofuel Firm Coskata Drops Initial Public Offering Plans Amid Volatile IPO Market

Initially, Coskata Inc. planned to use the proceeds from an IPO in the first quarter of 2012 to build a plant in Alabama that would process ethanol from wood waste.  Not only are plans for an IPO cancelled, but Coskata has also decided to not build the Alabama plant, but instead will build in a different location that will use natural gas to create ethanol funded by private investors.  To read about the forces behind these changes:
