Algae Tec of Australia and Lufthansa of Germany signed a collaborative agreement to build a large-scale biofuel plant to produce aviation fuel from algae. The plant will be located in a (yet to be decided) country in Europe, and near an industrial source of CO2. Lufthansa agreed to supply 100% of the funding for the plant, and to take at least 50% of the fuel produced.
