Platte River Equity announced today that it has acquired Profile Products LLC, producer of innovative solutions to soil loss and accelerated seed germination for private and civil construction, agriculture, horticulture, energy, mining, sports facilities, and retail lawn and garden applications. The private equity firm, in partnership with existing management, acquired the private company for undisclosed amount using capital out of Platte River’s third fund, Private River Equity III, L.P.

“We have worked hard with our distributor partners to become leaders in each of our target markets and were looking for the right partner to help fuel the next chapter in our growth,” said John Schoch, President and CEO of the Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based Profile Products. “Platte River has the resources and experience to help us execute new expansion strategies.
